A Lot To Be Thankful For: Gratitude List #1

I have a lot to be thankful for. Grateful even. I write this after reflecting on exactly this point in my mind for the last five minutes. We have a lot of close family and friends who are unfortunately going through a really rough time at the moment. Things that make you feel pretty helpless when all we can do is be there for them and support them. Over the last week at various points the feeling of gratefulness has kept coming back to me, and the more I have thought about it the more I have been compelled to capture it on some type of list.

On this list. A list of all the simple and big things that I am feeling immensely grateful for at this moment in time. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense for me to capture those feelings and things here on my very own blog. I am a huge believer in the law of attraction, the secret and practising gratitude to attract more of what you want. So these are all the things that I am feeling very grateful for this week:

  1. The little lady progressing from the baby pool to the full size adults pool at school.  It was such a big moment and I am so proud of her!
  2. GLTC sponsoring me to go to Blog Fest 16. I can’t tell you how excited I am about attending my first ever blogging conference. Thank you again GLTC!
  3. Exciting new sponsored post opportunities on the blog.
  4. Working with exciting new brands through the blog.
  5. The opportunity to catch up with an old college for lunch in town. This happened last week but I felt like I needed to capture it here because its such a rarity these days!
  6. A bunch of roses from my Mr on the weekend, just because.
  7. My new iPhone 7 upgrade being due just as my iPhone 6 appears to be giving up on me.
  8. Having a very chilled out baby who sleeps and lets me get on with things which I am always counting my lucky stars for.
  9. Winning a family set of Microscooters. Yes that’s right. One for me, the Mr and the two kiddywinks. One of who is only 14 weeks old. Crazy but amazing! This happened a week or so ago, but we only just took delivery of them this week and sometimes until things are in your face they seem too good to be true!
  10. The beautiful autumn sunshine that has been streaming in through the windows.
  11. My gorgeous new autumn jumpers that I bought a couple of weeks back. They have been perfect for this mild autumn weather, and I am so glad that I got them when I saw them.

So that’s my first gratitude list! I cant wait to start making these regularly and bring some more feel good feelings into my life each week. What have you felt grateful for this week?

Congratulations on winning the scooters, what an amazing prize! I love a random bunch of flowers too, that’s lovely! I’ve loved digging out all the jumpers too, it’s like discovering a whole new wardrobe! #KCACOLS

I love this: voicing what we are grateful for. It’s so easy to get bogged down in the negative crap that surrounds us and so important to recognise our gratitude. I’m grateful for the most gorgeous autumnal day today. Thank you for prompting me with your positive thoughts. Alison x #MarvMondays

This is a beautiful way to see how blessed you are in your life..It’s little things that matters, little victories that makes us fell grateful and happy. We have a routine that every night before we go to sleep, we thank to the things that we are grateful for that day. It changes the way you look at your life!

I think in tough times it really helps to do something like this to realise that often you do have a lot to be grateful for – even if it is something small like the Mr. buying flowers! This week I have been grateful for cocktails – my best girlfriends and I indulged in a cocktail or two (jugs…) and after all of us having a tough time recently with one thing or another, it was great to just laugh all night long! #MarvMondays

I think it’s so lovely to be able to make a list like this. And when you know you’re going to write one, you start looking out for things to be grateful for and then you see more and more things. A big ‘high five’ to your husband for buying you roses for no special reason, and I hope you have lots of fun on your scooters! #MarvMondays

I love lists like this, I think it can be so easy to concentrate on the bad and frustrating things that have happened over the course of a week but if we take the time to remember the good things it can change our whole perspective. I take part in the Happy Days Linky run by @WhatKatysaidUk and @QFSheSaid every week for this very reason. Congratulations on all the amazing blog work and being sponsored for Blogfest, exciting times x

Ooh lucky got on winning the scooters. My husband and I don’t have much luck with competitions and raffles so don’t really enter these days (I know, I know, if we don’t enter we’ll definitely never win!). But I’m always pleased when people I know win things – be it in real or blog life!

Since wonderful things to be happy about here. I think it’s really important to focus on the things that make life good. It’s so easy to get dragged down. I must get some autumn jumpers too. It’s chilly today!

This is a great idea for a post, I guess we get so busy as parents and naturally focusing on the crap that happens that it’s easy to forget about the positive things. I’ve also stocked up on cosy jumpers, still waiting for the weather to catch up to the season though x #MarvMondays
