Oh November, what a fantastic month you’ve been for beautiful and pretty finds. This months favourites are a bit of a beauty haul having spoilt myself with a fair few make up products. I feel like I am just about coming out of the new baby fog and actually have the head space and the energy to make a bit of an effort with how I look and more importantly, how I feel.
I always feel so guilty for buying myself things not matter how small they are since I became a mum, and the guilt seems to have doubled since the littlest came along. But its important to treat ourselves every now and then, and a new lipstick is hardly breaking the bank. Ok, the Charlotte Tilbury one was a little pricey for a lipstick if you ask me, but its been on my lust list FORVER so when I got to check out her new concession in Bluewater earlier this month I just had to buy myself one. Anyway, onto my November favourites!
Charlotte Tilbury Kate Lipstick
There are so many gorgeous Charlotte Tilbury lipstick shades I didn’t know where to begin when I first started looking at her lipsticks a few months ago. But luckily for me I got to steal a few minutes of alone time when we went to Bluewater and tried on a few (all) of the shades in her Hot Lips range, landing on the gorgeous Kate. A biscuit beige nude that is a little different to what I tend to wear, but I really like it as it gives me quite a different look which I love. A few great things about the Charlotte Tilbury website for anyone that hasn’t been to one of her stores or concessions yet, is that you can see what her different lipsticks look like on your skin tone which I’ve since done and found that its amazingly accurate. If you havent done it already do it! I also love that her website recommends which lipliner to get with each lipstick which is really handy and something I wish I’d done before buying!
Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lipliner
Lipliners are only something that I’ve really started using in the last year and am really liking. I don’t have a huge collection so its nice to add Pillowtalk to the mix. It was recommended to me by the beauty counter girl to compliment the Kate lipstick, and whilst it’s a really nice nude colour, I don’t think it is the perfect match so I have a great excuse to go back for another one!
MAC Liptensity Doe
MAC lipsticks are my favourite, I’ve been buying them for years and they’ve been pretty much all I buy (up until now). I love their new Liptensity range which has a lust worthy range of colours and is highly pigmented which gives them great wearability. Doe was my first Liptensity buy which is a brownish nude that I absolutely love and think might be my new all time favourite lipstick. The great thing about the Liptensity range is that they colours are pretty much identical to the lids which makes it really easy to compare the different colours and find them at home amongst the others, and like all MAC lipsticks they have that lovely signature MAC vanilla smell to them.
MAC Liptensity Toast & Butter
It’s a little hard to see the difference between the Toast and Butter and the Doe lipstick in the picture, but it is a much darker brown cinnamon like colour. I havent really tried any browns before and liked the look of this one. I heard rumours that the Liptensity range is a limited edition too so want to make sure I snap up all the ones that I want in case they do discontinue these colours at some point.
It’s always exciting when you are due a new phone upgrade and this time rather than going for a standard iPhone, I decided to take the leap and upgrade to a plus model following my sister in law who did the same a few weeks before me. Given that there was little to no difference between the iPhone 6 which I had and the new iPhone 7, it felt like it made more sense to try a plus out for size, especially as it has the new double camera feature which is great for blog pictures and videos.
M&S Christmas Pudding Lights
The little lady and I spotted these cute christmas pudding lights in M&S earlier this week and just had to get them. They are so cute and were a bargain at only £8. I thought they’d be perfect up on my desk to make it feel all christmassy, but the little one had other ideas and has commandeered them for her bed. Oh well, you can’t win them all!
So there you have my November favourites. Lots of lovely beauty finds with a touch of Christmas that have brought me joy this month. What things have you found that have brought you joy this month?
