We’ve started a few new Christmas traditions since we had the little lady; Christmas stockings, traditional advent calendars, but my most favourite of them all has to be Christmas pyjamas! From her very first christmas without realising we started this new tradition with a lovely little set from the Little White Company. At only five months old, they were teeny tiny and so adorable. Then last Christmas we bought her a beautiful set of two christmas pyjamas from John Lewis that she wore and re-wore as quickly as I could wash them. So this year I’ve done the right and proper thing and bought four sets of Christmas pyjamas for her to wear throughout December to her little hearts delight.
When I set out on my search for the best Christmas pyjamas around at the beginning of November (I like to start early before they sell out!) I shopped around at all my usual go to clothing brands for the little lady; Mothercare, John Lewis, Disney Store, Baby Gap, The Little White Company, Next and Mamas & Papas. After quite a lot of searching, I picked out these four that I thought looked lovely, were good quality, a great price and ultimately pyjamas that I loved and thought she would love too;
1.Mothercare Christmas Pudding Pyjamas. These are by far the little lady’s favourite pair which have been wore several dozen times already. We havent had Mothercare pyjamas before and I am so impressed with the quality of them and how well they wash and keep both the colour and the softness to them. I really like these and am so glad I picked them up in November when I did as they are no longer in stock. I also had my eye on their pretty pink Festive Pyjamas that I’d love to add to her collection, but I was too slow and now they’ve sold out. I do ask myself how many christmas pyjamas does a two year old need, but I really don’t think you can have too many so if I see these in any of their stores I’ll definitely grab her a pair!
2. John Lewis Christmas Deer Pyjamas. These are the littles lady’s next go to pyjamas of choice after the Mothercare ones. She (and I) loves the deer print, but is less keen on the spotty pair. I suspect because they don’t have a print on them like the others which is a bit of a shame. I bet they’d look really sweet on nevertheless, but she doesn’t have much interest in wearing them yet. After being so impressed with the John Lewis set she had last year, I really wanted to get another set for her this year and there was plenty to choose from when I started looking last month. Again I’ve been really pleased with the quality of the cotton which is second to none, and like the Mothercare ones they wash really well keeping their softness and colour each time.
3. Disney Store Sophia the First Pyjamas. I picked these up in one of their online sales in the new year so they are no longer in stock, although they do have a few similar prints and styles in their current range. The little lady loves the Sophia the First print on these and definitely has days here and there where she wants to wear these. These feel different to both the Mothercare and John Lewis ones, the cotton feels thinner and much lighter which I was surprised by. Because of that I was worried about how long these would last, expecting the print to start to crack and fade after a few washes but I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by how well they wash and keep both the colour and print which is great.
We love all four of these pyjamas, some more than others, but these all make great pyjamas for toddlers this Christmas. It lovely little ones so festive at bed time! What have you picked for your little ones this Christmas?
