August has been another fantastic month for homeware finds. Pretty early on into the month I found most of these pieces which I absolutely love, but more importantly have been the finishing touches for my blogging space and our new hallway storage space. So yet again we have another month of homeware finds, but these were too lovely not to share so here are my August favourites!
1. White Potted Succulents
These lovely white potted succulents are another new addition to my blogging space. Yet again New Look Homeware has pulled it out of the bag with these mini beauties, a steal at only £5.99 each. I loved them so much that I bought not one, but three of them to adorn my pretty new GLTC shelves.
2. We Make a Great Pear Print
I love this sweet “We Make A Great Pear” print that I found on Not on The High Street for our lovely new hallway storage space which have quickly become styled around the children. When I started this little project to make over our hallway I knew I wanted to create a space that was functional but fun and have been looking for a print like this one to go on our shelves and compliment all the pieces that I have found so far.
3. Cloud Light
I was smitten with these cute little cloud and fruit lights as soon as I saw them popping up on Instagram and Pinterest feeds and almost tripped over myself when I found them in one of the most awesome online Kids stores Lullabuy (you seriously need to check them out!). Again I thought one of these would be perfect for our hallway shelves. The little cloud lights up and can be used as a nightlight, although we have just been using it decoratively.
4. Tell A Beautiful Story
As soon as I saw this “Tell a Beautiful Story” star in Dunelm I knew I had to have it on my shelves to remind and inspire me when I am blogging. I love the elegance of the quote and the simplicity of the concrete design, it’s now one of my favourite pieces on my shelves.
5. How to Style Your Brand
I came across Fiona Humberstone’s How To Style Your Brand book on Instagram and was inspired to have a read of it myself so picked up a copy on Amazon before we went on holiday. I probably havent read a book for the best part of a year so relished having something to read again after so long, especially as I love to read. I’ve been slowly refreshing the look and feel of my blog over the last few months and the branding of My Petit Canard has been my latest fixation so finding Fiona’s book couldn’t have come at a better time. Its beautifully written, easy to follow and I love how Fiona breaks down the concept of branding into easy to follow and understand sections. Of all my finds in August, this is probably my favourite. I’ve really enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to any other bloggers wanting to work on updating or refreshing their branding too.
So those are my August favourites. Lots of lovely things to finish off our two exciting home make over projects. What things have you found this month that you love and have brought you joy?
