The Gratitude Series 2018. #6

mug in hands

Oh what a week. It may have been half term week but it was business as usual over here. No time off, lie ins or lazy days for me, or Ella for that matter. But it sure did fly by in true half term style. We’re half way through February and I don’t see any sign of it slowing down any time soon. Work is busy and life is just as busy, but I am so looking forward to March already because I am so flipping excited about the weeks ahead.

But before I get ahead of myself, here’s all the things I’ve been feeling grateful for over the last week:

#1 I had a fantastic coaching session with one of my exec coaching clients at work. It was our first full session and it went really well, the coachee took a lot away from it and it made me feel like I can really take things further in the coaching space.

#2 I got given my breakfast for free at Leon and then they threw in a valentine’s day friendship bracelet so that I could treat a friend to a free lunch at Leons. The best start to a Tuesday you could ask for on a working week.

#3 It was pancake day, need I say more!

#4 I got to work from home with Ella on Friday which was lovely because she is now at an age where she can entertain herself which means I can actually get work done too. It was nice to let her sleep in as the poor thing was up early every morning over half term!

#5 We had a lovely play date with one of Ella’s school friends over the weekend, the type where both the children and the adults are having a good time. I’m terrible at arranging play dates so I really want to make an effort this year and I have to say I’m a little bit proud of the fact that we’ve already had two and its only the second month of the year.

#6 We celebrated chinese new year with a meal with the husband’s family – grandparents, sister and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews. It’s become a lovely a tradition that has given us a great excuse to get the whole family together for something other than birthdays and Christmas.

#7 We got to spend time with my family, unrushed quality time and the children loved it. They got spoiled and doted on as usual, and I got to catch up with my siblings and parents. Yes to lots more family time in 2018.

I’d love to know what things you’ve been feeling grateful for. If you fancy joining in with these gratitude posts let me know as I’d love to start a little gratitude linky if there’s enough interest.

Have a great week!

Sounds like you’ve had lots of lovely family time and well done for managing to arrange two playdates in two months. I’m terrible at getting around to organising them as well! I like the sound of a gratitude linky – if you do decide to start one, let me know and I’ll join in.

Thanks Louise, it’s always such a challenge! I had to admit I haven’t been so good second half of the year!!
