Top 4 Little Tikes toys for babies!

Little Tikes Giggle Surprise Blocks - Playing with blocksOver the last few months, we have very quickly started to build up a bit of a Little Tikes collection after realising just how clever and fun their toys are. They are now one of our all-time favourite baby toy brands and one that I wished we had discovered much earlier.

I’m talking about the types of toys that you add to your children’s birthday and Christmas lists and buy as gifts for other babies. There are four in particular that I think are must-have toys for any baby so I thought I would share them on the blog, which is what our “Things We Love” feature is all about, sharing things that we discover we love and just have to share!

Catch Me Crabbie

Little Tikes Catch Me Crabbie

Little Tikes Catch Me Crabbie - Playing with crabbieThis little guy is so much fun. Our little one has loved watching this cheeky little crab scuttle around and has been really encouraged to learn how to crawl so that he can catch him.

Catch Me Crabbie is part of the Little Tikes Lil Ocean Explorers Range and is so simple and easy to use, but very clever. It has a happy little jingle that it plays when it’s on, similar to others in the Little Tikes range which is actually more fun than annoying (thank goodness).

I would quite happily sit with Catch Me Crabbie on for quite some time without dying to switch it off (honestly).

Catch Me Crabbie is probably my favourite of all the Little Tikes toys that we have and one that I definitely wish we had the first time around when Ella was a baby too.

Crawl n Pop Turtle

Little Tikes Crawl n Pop Turtle

Little Tikes Crawl n Pop Turtle - Playing PictureCrawl n Pop Turtle is very similar to the concept of Catch Me Crabbie encouraging little ones to crawl but starts to introduce the concept of shapes and colours in a fun and interactive way.

It’s the perfect follow on toy from Catch Me Crabbie which may have a little less longevity once the little guy has completely mastered the art of crawling.

Crawl n Pop Turtle has four different shapes which fit into his body and pop out when he is crawling around. Again, I love how simple and easy Crawl n Pop Turtle is to use both for us and the little ones.

Ella who is three can easily set it up and even though Louis doesn’t have the dexterity yet to put the shapes into the right places, he can already press turtles button to get him to go.

Crawl n Pop Turtle is definitely another toy I would recommend for little crawlers and walkers.

Giggle Surprise Blocks

Little Tikes Giggle Surprise Blocks

Little Tikes Giggle Surprise Blocks - Playing with blocksThe Giggle Surprise Blocks are literally the perfect first baby toys. I’ve always found it quite tricky to find suitable toys for my babies to engage and have fun with when they were really little. I always felt like they were quite limited to teethers and soft teddy style toys in their earliest days, but that all changed when we were introduced to Little Tikes Giggle Surprise Blocks.

These four soft, sensory blocks each have a different bright and fun animal design as well as different features like mirrors, or scrunchy fabric or little jingly bells.

The blocks are light enough for the little one to use independently and have been perfect for keeping our little one entertained when he couldn’t do anything other than lie on his play mat.

Impressively they have continued to hold his interest even now he is crawling and mobile which says a lot about how fun and engaging these fun little blocks are. I really love these and would definitely recommend them, especially as a great newborn toy.

Catchin Lights Tiger

Little Tikes Catchin Lights Tiger

Catchin Lights Tiger is a fierce and fun little walker perfect for little crawlers and walkers. It has a handle that adjusts to two heights, the first perfect for our seven-month-old and the second height will be great for when he is around 18 months (the recommended age is 12-18 months).

Like all other Little Tikes toys, the Catchin Lights Tiger plays a fab little jingle which is activated when little ones move the walker around. There is also a fun little light that the walker projects for little ones to chase with the Catchin Lights Tiger, encouraging them to get walking in a super fun way.

At the moment Louis is only able to push the walker around with his hands, but once he finds his feet I’m sure he will have a lot of fun running around with it. However, from what I’ve seen so far I think this is a great alternative to the traditional walkers and would definitely recommend it too.

So there are our four favourite Little Tikes toys. I’d love to know in the comments below if any of these are on your favourite toys list, or if you have Little Tikes toys that aren’t on our list that you would recommend!

This takes me back in time! Our favourite Little Tikes toys were the cosy coupe car and the kitchen. The toys are so durable that no matter how much they play with them you can pass them on to someone else when your children grow out of them. Thanks for hosting #marvmondays

They are fab aren’t they. I can’t believe we have only just discovered them since we’ve had the littlest one!

Peachy has the turtle. I bought it for her before she was even born. I thought it was clever and really cute. Unfortunately the noise it makes scares her. The first time I turned it on she ran away from it. #MarvMondays
