As soon as I saw Aveeno had bought out a baby range I knew I would want to try it.
As a mum of two little ones with sensitive skin, I am always on the lookout for great baby and children’s products that are suitable for eczema-prone, sensitive skin. So it was a delight when the Aveeno Baby team offered me to chance to try the new Aveeno baby range at the Mum’s Net Blog Fest conference last November.
Introducing the Aveeno baby range
I’d tried the normal Aveeno range earlier last year after a recommendation from my sister in law to help manage Ella’s awful eczema flare-ups. Since then it has always been a staple in our house so I was pleased to see Aveeno introduce a baby range onto the market.
We love the normal Aveeno range because of its oats based ingredients and the baby range is no different, formulated with active natural oatmeal. The formulation is really similar too, thick, scentless and really smooth and nourishing. I love putting this on their skin and sometimes even use it on mine.
The cream in particular is my favourite. It’s thick, but not greasy and absorbs really well into the skin. Whether I use it on their skin or mine, I can immediately feel the difference.
Soft, smooth and moisturised, and you only need a tiny bit at a time which means that this one tube will last us ages. We typically use it after bath time, but I’ve also been using it recently around the littlest one’s mouth to clear up the sore teething rashes he has been getting from all his dribbling and it works a treat.
The bath wash also has a lovely thick formulation similar to the cream. In fact, I had to double-check I picked up the right bottle the first time I used it as I’ve never come across a bath wash as thick as this one. Again you only need a tiny bit each time as it lathers into a lovely, rich bath wash which is soap-free and more importantly, tear-free!
The nappy cream we’ve used less of because we don’t tend to need to use it with the littlest one. However, it is another lovely product that shares the same attributes as the other products in the range – thick, smooth, scentless and formulated with natural oats.
I’m really selective about what we use on our little one’s skin, but I’m happy to add these to our favourites as we love everything about the Aveeno Baby range. It’s definitely a product we’d recommend if you’re looking for something gentle and suitable for little ones with sensitive skin.

Disclosure: we were sent the Aveeno Baby range in exchange for this review. However, as always, all thoughts and options are my own. You will only ever find reviews of things we love on our blog.
